UK soul legend Amy Winehouse made history with her music. The acoustic trio ‘Valerie’ picks up the ‘story’ and develops it further. The lead singer Jutta Gürtler does not only look like Amy Winehouse, her voice equally amazes audiences over and over again. She is supported by guitarist Frederic Drobnjak and the bassist Dennis Eickermann. The trio performs a purely acoustic set and guarantees a unique listening experience.

Their music can best be described as feel good vintage Acid Jazz music with the energy, vibe and sound of 2015 by some of today’s best contemporary pop/jazz musicians from Europe. Funky rhythm-guitars, Hammond, Fender Rhodes and synths, and a rhythm section that has been playing together for decades. All this gives singer Evelyn Kallansee the solid ground to make her beautiful vocals shine.

Funk & Soul

For over 20 years, Bremen’s Voodoo Child band has stood for tasteful funky Soul-Jazz-Blues, for exciting (engaging, raucous, convincing,) live-concerts and refined arrangements. Swedish singer Mia Guttormsson has now joined the quartet as a permanent member of the band. She brings plenty of soul ‘power’ and her voice effortlessly rises above the rich sound of the Hammond B3, Fenderbass and Percussions. The quartet can be extended with guest musicians, creating an even more engaging sound.

Latin, Flamenco, Jazz & Pop

Fred & Maxi – the duo’s name is as intimate and personal as its name. Frederic Drobnjak (guitar) and Maxi Suhr (percussion) create a special atmosphere for each event. Whether it is quiet dinner music, up tempo music from Spain or Pop music to sing along to from the last 40 years, the two professional musicians know to play the right music at the right time. The duo produces as wide a range of music from their instruments as possible.

Jazz

While the Klaus Möckelmann Trio has the charm of a classic Jazz Trio, the music is not confined to the narrow boundaries of the genre. The group around bandleader Klaus Möckelmann boldly explores Jazz’ ‘stormy weather’ rather than sticking to safe formulas. Just as Jazz’s origins combined various musical cultures, traditions and styles, the Trio engages with other influences while never losing its link to true traditional Jazz ideas.
